PROFILE and TRAINING

Sherry Marshall (BSc. Sociology/Social Admin; MAA. Social Work. AMHSW; Masters Social Ecology, Process Oriented Psychology) is an experienced and highly qualified registered Mental Health Social Worker, with a Masters in Social Work and is a qualified Process Oriented Therapist as well as a qualified Family and Relationships Therapist. She has worked in England and Australia for over 25 years. She was Director of the Staff Counselling Department at Royal North Shore for 7 years and has maintained a private practice in Sydney City and Manly for 20 years.

She was a consultant for the largest Employee Assistance Programme in Australia for 9 years, counselling staff and management on all work place individual and organisational issues and mediation work. Her clientele included the State and Federal Police, Telecommunication companies, DOC’s, Railcorp, Australian Customs, NSW. Dept. of Education, major Banking and Insurance and legal institutions, Hospitals, non profit organisations as well as other corporate business etc. She also trains and facilitates students and groups for Australia and New Zealand Process Oriented Psychology and is a Faculty Director and Vice president of the Faculty of ANZPOP.

She also supervises individuals and groups for non profit organisations such as Motor Neurone Association and St. Vincents as well as for corporate organisations and alternative therapies such as acupuncture. She is a fully accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with additional certification as a Mental Health Social Worker.

She is also a fully accredited member of the Australian and New Zealand Process Oriented Psychology Association (ANZPOP) Both organisations have clear codes of ethical conduct and training requirements which are part of her therapy principles and practice.

Sherry specializes, using Process Psychology in:
Relationships Therapy and Marriage Counselling, Family Problems, Communication Skills, Transforming Emotions, Grief and Bereavement, Coaching, Eating Disorders, Working with Dreams, Career Counselling, Stress Management and Meditation.

She has been actively involved in Tibetan Buddhism for over 20 years and has helped and worked for His Holiness, The Dalai Lama since 1996. She enjoys travelling and is a writer and published author on Tibetan Buddhism.
